Allegany County

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that chip seal work will begin on state Route 19 on Friday, August 25, 2017, weather permitting.  The project will extend from 0.1 miles north of county Route 23 to the Wyoming county line, for a total of approximately 3.6 miles.  The scope of this project includes the town of Hume in Allegany County.

Motorists will encounter flaggers, lane closures and could experience travel delays.  It is imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.
