Incident: Handgun Possession/ Firearm Drug Trafficking Crime
Date of Incident: July 31, 2017
Location: E Main St/ N Park Drive
Suspects:

• Kaevon Quishi Cutler, 22 of Princess Anne, MD
• Nicholas Tyler Garnett, 17 (Charged as an adult) of Princess Anne, MD
• Joshua James Wootten, 16 (Charged as an adult) of Princess Anne, MD

Narrative: On July 31, 2017 a Deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team (CAT) conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Main Street/ N Park Drive in Salisbury, Maryland. During the course of the traffic stop, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a semi-automatic handgun loaded with 11 rounds of ammunition was located. The handgun’s serial number had been obliterated. Marijuana, scales, and bags all consistent with CDS distribution were located in the vehicle near the handgun. The driver, Kaevon Quishi Cutler, along with two passengers Nicholas Tyler Garnett, Joshua James Wootten, all of Princess Anne, MD were arrested and released to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
Charges: Possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, Use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, Possession of a regulated firearm by a prohibited person, Possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, Illegal possession of ammunition.
