A Wellsville man avoided prison after he pleaded guilty to a reduced drug charge. In Allegany County court Friday, Joey Traylor, 24, of Pine Street pleaded guilty to attempted 3rd degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Judge Terry Parker sentenced him to five years probation, a $325 surcharge, restitution of $27.50 and a $50 DNA fee. Prosecutors said Traylor was originally accused of selling heroin to an agent of the Wellsville Police Department on April 11, 2016.
