School buildings in Bath were placed on lockdown this morning when a wanted sex offender apparently fled from authorities. According to WETM-TV, NYS Parole Officers were attempting to take 33-year-old Brian Woodring into custody when he escaped. Bath police joined the manhunt. Woodring is a Level 2 sex offender. According to News 18, Woodring was convicted in July of 2006 with sexual contact, disseminating indecent materials to a minor, and promoting/possessing sexual performance by a child.Authorities say he's wearing shorts and a t-shirt and is barefoot and handcuffed.
