The City of Hornell Water Department employees and the Hornell Firefighters will be flushing hydrants in the Town of Hornellsville/Village of North Hornell and the City of Hornell between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. during the week of October 23, 2017 – October 28, 2017.
Residents are encouraged to refrain from washing clothes during flushing hours and to check their water for discoloration before use. If you experience discolored water, let the cold water run until it clears. Hydrant flushing is a part of necessary maintenance to the water distribution system. Your cooperation during this time is appreciated.
