Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Deputies on October 6th arrested Lester L. Baker, Jr., 49, of Portville-Ceres Road in Portville. He was charged with 4th degree grand larceny, a class E felony. Police received a complaint of a theft of money from the Sins of AMVETS organization. The Sheriff's Office did not say how much money was allegedly stolen. However, according to the penal law, grand larceny 4th involves more than $1,000. Baker was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Village of Portville court on October 27th at 9 a.m.
