Early Saturday, Troopers arrested Gregory P. Black, 42, of Belmont, for driving while intoxicated, move from lane unsafely, inadequate tail lamps, and open container. Black was stopped on State Route 19 in the Town of Amity for allegedly crossing the white line several times and for a tail light violation. While interviewing Black, Troopers allege the odor of alcoholic beverage was present. Black was given standard field sobriety tests, which police say he failed. Johnson was taken to SP Amity for processing where he allegedly recorded a .17% BAC. Black was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Amity Court for November 15, 2017.
