Congratulations to the Wellsville Secondary School Science students who prepared an experiment proposal selected as one of the top three proposals as evaluated by local judges! The title of the winning proposal is: "The Effect of Ascorbic Acid on Planarian Regeneration in Microgravity".

As a next step, the Wellsville proposal and two others from the WNY STEM Coalition will be transmitted by WNY STEM this week for review by a team of national experts arranged by the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education (NCESSE). We expect to have a decision on which of the three proposals will be flown to the International Space Station (projected June 2018 flight date) by mid-December. Meanwhile, on December 7, teachers, students, school leaders and sponsors will be recognized at the WNY Student Showcase held at SUNY Buffalo.
