This past Sunday, December 3, 2017, Hornell Central School senior Kuryn Newark participated in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Mixed Choir performance at Eastman Performing Arts Center in Rochester, NY.  To be selected for this performance, a very high choral honor offered by NYSSMA, required Kuryn to compete against over 1,000 other students statewide nearly a year ago in order to obtain the opportunity to perform with the best-of-the-best from the entire state.  Kuryn's entire family, as well as the entire Hornell community and Vocal Arts program at HHS wish to congratulate and share their appreciation of Kuryn's distinction and success! Kuryn is the daughter of Brian Newark of Wellsville and Heather Nunn of Hornell.
