Andover Justice sends man to jail in assault, child endangerment case

An Andover man was sent to jail this morning during his sentencing in Andover Village Court. Justice Steve Heckman today sentenced 27-year-old Anthony Ford to serve one year in the Allegany County Jail. Ford pleaded guilty this morning to assault 3rd, criminal obstruction of breathing and child endangerment. According to a court report, Ford admitted that on November 17, 2016, he assaulted his girlfriend in front of a three year old child. Ford was immediately taken into custody and transported to the county jail in Amity.
