Big rig crashes in Caneadea - driver trapped, hurt

The driver of a tractor trailer was injured at 12:56 a.m. today when his rig crashed. According to responder reports, the rig was on State Route 243, when it failed to stop at a sign, crossed State Route 19, traveled between buildings before slamming into several trees. The driver was reportedly trapped. State police identified him as Olayinko J. Ibitoye, 48, of Orlando, FL.  Houghton fire and ambulance, and Oramel fire all responded to the scene. A fuel leak was also reported. Ibitoye was transported and treated at Olean General Hospital. First Responders remained at the scene for several hours.
