Some may hate New York State government, but wait...
This site routinely receives the Potter County Commissioner's agenda and minutes...but the minutes are from weeks ago and the agenda is supplied well after the reported meeting. I'm not sure what the advantage is to tell people what you plan to discuss, and then post it after you act on it. I reached out to a trusted source, explained my concern, and was told that Potter County (and PA in general) never releases an agenda in advance. Really? How can citizens react in advance, unless that is your choice. I'm from New York where government shares the agenda in advance - so you can comment. Good or bad! Ya know, Potter County and its local government needs to share...what you INTEND to do so taxpayers can share a voice...not read in the newspaper what you DID! Be OPEN. Tell people what you plan to discuss and vote on. Allow the public to comment. I'm sharing this with PA state Reps...we'll see...
