Ardent Solutions hosts upcoming Diabetes Prevention Program

Ardent Solutions, is pleased to announce the upcoming Diabetes Prevention Program for anyone 18 years of age or older, at-risk or diagnosed with pre-diabetes.  

The program will begin June 19, 2018; 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and continue for sixteen weeks, on Tuesday’s, through October 9, 2018, at the Wellsville YMCA. To register for this FREE program, please call Patty Amidon, with Ardent Solutions, Inc. at 585-593-5223, ext. 1010, by Thursday, June 14, 2018. Each participant will receive all the materials for the 16 week class and post-core sessions at no cost.

 

Based on effective efforts researched by the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Diabetes Prevention Program will help participants learn about and adopt the healthy eating and physical activity habits that have been proven to reduce the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. Individuals will receive support and encouragement from both a trained Lifestyle Coach and fellow classmates as they develop a plan for improving and maintaining their overall health and well-being.

 

The 12-month, group-based program consists of 16 core sessions conducted weekly and to stay motivated and maintain progress towards program goals, participants continue with monthly maintenance sessions.
