Obituary: Laura A. Bess, 40, Avoca

Avoca - Laura A. Bess, age 40, of Grant Street, passed away at home on May 1, 2018. She was born in Wellsville on November 24, 1977 to William and Sally Bliven Dodge. She was the loving wife of Donald Bess Sr. who survives her.

Laura attended Arkport Central School class of 1996. She enjoyed Nursing, music, laughter, life, and most of all her family and friends. Laura was employed at the Bath V.A. as a Registered Nurse. She was awarded an honorary master degree from the University of Binghamton, class of 2018, as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Laura is survived by her husband Donald; her son, Brett Ogden; her daughter, Skyler Partridge; her Mother and Father; her sister, Stacey Nieves; a brother, Jason Dodge; a niece, Emily; a nephew, Alex; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and very special friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, 34 West State Street, Wellsville, New York.
