Allegany County Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports that on June 4, 2018, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert W. Dibble, on a Bench Warrant issued by the Town of Belfast Court. Dibble was processed and transported to the Town of Friendship Court where he was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.  Dibble is to reappear in the Town of Belfast Court at a later date for additional court action.

On June 1, 2018, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office assisted the New York State Police with the arrest of Lynn Whalen, age 22 of Belmont, on an Arrest Warrant issued by the Town of Amity Court. Whalen, who was being released from the Allegany County Jail, was processed and turned over to the custody of the New York State Police.
