A Coudersport man and a Route 6 business have both been charged by Pennsylvania State Police. According to a press statement, Michael J. Osborne, 50 and Gleason's Service Center and RV Sales were issued a First Class Summons for "Issuance of a Certificate of Inspection." According to Troopers, on November 6, 2017 Osborne allegedly performed a PA State Safety Inspection on a 1993 Dodge Dakota and issued a certificate of Inspection for the vehicle. After an investigation, it was determined the vehicle should have failed that PA State Inspection, due to chassis rust/rot and had never been issued a certificate of inspection. An examination of Gleason’s Service Center & RV Sales inspection records indicated that an improper entry was recorded in the MV-431. Osborne and the business were cited for an improper record keeping. Charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Annette L. Easton for summary violations, Chapter 18, Title 75, Section 4727 Issuance of Certificate of Inspection Accused #1 and Accused #2. Court action is pending.
