Following a complaint of an alleged shoplifting incident at a local business in the Village on Wednesday July 18th at approximately 10:30 a.m. and after a short foot pursuit; Cuba Police arrested Gail A. Hewitt of Cuba on charges of petit larceny(misdemeanor). Hewitt was processed and issued an appearance ticket to appear at a later date. Hewitt is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
