Elderly New Jersey man killed in Potter County crash

Pennsylvania state police say an elderly man from New Jersey was killed Sunday afternoon in a two vehicle crash. Troopers said the collision occurred at 3:32 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 155 and Cowley Road in Portage Township, Potter County.
State police said Patrick Davies, 84, of Medford, NJ was traveling west of Cowley Road. At the intersection of Route 155, he failed to yield and pulled into the path of a Peterbilt truck operated by Joseph Skillman, 41, of Emporium. Davies, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Potter County Coroner Kevin Dusenbury. Skillman was not injured. Responding along with state police were Austin fire and ambulance volunteers along with Port Allegany ambulance. Troopers said the investing continues today.
