Potter County Commissioners voted Thursday to borrow $3.8 million to breathe new life into a failing 911 communications system. The county will obtain the funding through Juanita Valley Bank with a ten year repayment schedule at 3.69 percent. When first constructed, the Potter County communications network for police and first responders was something to be marveled…but decades later, the system is ailing and is a detriment. “These funds will bring our system to where we have connectivity,” stated Commissioner Doug Morley in a Bradford Era story. “Other changes are going to be needed to go along with this, but this will certainly improve our situation.”
