Belmont man arrest during incident next to Scio Fire Hall

State police arrested a man during an incident in a parking lot next to the Scio Fire Department. Troopers were called for an unresponsive man in a vehicle on County Road 9 at 5:51 a.m. According to radio reports, Justin L. Barnes, 36, of Belmont became uncooperative with state police. When multiple troopers responded, he was arrested and charged with:

1. obstructing governmental administration 2nd
2. resisting arrest
3. unlawful possession of marijuana
4. disorderly conduct
5. driving while intoxicated

Barnes was handcuffed and transported to the Amity barracks for processing. He was later arraigned in Scio Town Court and remanded to the Allegany County jail in lieu of cash bail. Further court action is pending.
