Complete Obituary: Sandra R. Hunt, 78, Wellsville
WELLSVILLE - Sandra R. Hunt, 78, of Wellsville, NY, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 in Highland Hospital, Rochester, NY. Born June 12, 1940, in Belmont, NY, she was the daughter of Leroy and Dorothy Booth Peters. On July 24, 1981, in Wellsville, she married Stephen E. Hunt, who survives. She was employed as a cook by the Dill Pickle and as a caregiver at Trapping Brook Manor. Sandra enjoyed making paper tole, playing petanque, and was active in the Red Hat Society. She was well loved by those she encountered in various walks of life. She and Stephen wintered in Labelle, FL for the past 17 years. Surviving besides her husband, Stephen, are: a son, Terry (Nancy) Hile of Lancaster, NY; a daughter, Stephanie Hunt of Belfast, NY; three step-children, Keith Hunt of Henrietta, Terri (William) Richardson of Conesus Lake, and Gregory Hunt of Gray Court, SC; three grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Kay (Richard) Anducci of Pittsburgh, PA, Marilyn Hyslip and Melinda Satterlee, both of Wellsville; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Hile; and four siblings, Charles Peters, Shirley Lipyance, Jerry Peters, and Jaqueline Geracci; and a grandson. Friends may gather 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Wellsville Rod and Gun Club for a brief service followed by a luncheon and time of fellowship. Memorials may be made to the B. Thomas Golisano Hope Lodge Hospitality House in Rochester NY. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wellsvillefuneralhome.com.
