Reed campaign denies knowledge of mailer regarding 'Dresser-Rand' in Wellsville

"Reed's bipartisan leadership helped save hundreds of jobs at the Dresser-Rand plant in Wellsville"
-From a pro-Reed mailer-

A recent mailer supporting Tom Reed's re-election as the representative for New York's 23rd congressional district has upset some employee's at one of Allegany County's largest manufacturing facilities. Several workers, current and former, of Siemens (Dresser-Rand) in Wellsville took issue with the claim that "Reed...helped save hundreds of jobs...at Dresser-Rand." In fact, the century-old company announced earlier this year that it would shutter its manufacturing operation in Wellsville, ending the careers of hundreds. One worker, who asked not to have his name used, called the flyer "unbelievable."

The flyer was prepared by the group 'No Labels Action' and shows a Jamestown address. According to its website,
"In the 2018 election cycle, No Labels Action is focused on independently supporting members of the House Problem Solvers Caucus." Tom Reed is the co-chair of the caucus.
Reed's campaign was quick to announce it had nothing to do with the mailing and denied any knowledge of it. According to an on-the-record e-mail sent to Wellsville Regional News-
"Various third party groups advertise in our district," said Abbey Daugherty, communications director for Tom Reed for Congress. "When third party organizations send mail or advertise in any way, we aren’t aware of it until after it shows up in mailboxes or on the radio. We are not involved in the process in any way."
The local union president for Siemens in Wellsville said as soon as he was made aware of the flyer, he called Reed's Corning office. He said they denied having any part in the advertisement.
Despite the campaign's denial, some are bitter. Another worker, who also asked that his name be withheld said, "ya know, it kinda sucks...others wanna profit while my career gets destroyed."
