Allegany County: Ten department heads on track for pay bumps

When the Allegany County Legislature convenes in regular session Monday afternoon, lawmakers are expected to set a public hearing on a local law that will increase the compensation for ten department heads. The hearing date, if approved, will be held at 2 p.m. October 22, 2018 in the legislative chambers.

Below is the resolution that will grant the pay increases, following public input:

 

A LOCAL LAW TO PROVIDE INCREASES IN THE COMPENSATION OF

CERTAIN COUNTY OFFICERS

BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Legislators of the County of Allegany, State of

New York, as follows:

Section 1. Commencing January 1, 2019, the annual salary of the incumbents

of the following County offices shall be as follows:

County Attorney - $102,000
County Clerk - $75,637
County Treasurer - $87,624

Employment & Training Director - $67,006
Personnel Officer - $75,011
Public Defender - $106,263

Public Health Director - $82,985
Public Works Superintendent - $92,322
Real Property Tax Director - $73,742
Social Services Commissioner - $85,904
