On the weekend of September 14 and 15 the 11th Annual Eric Lehman Memorial Co-Ed Softball Tournament was held at Wellsville Quackenbush Fields. Twenty teams comprising players from Wellsville and other communities competed in the Tournament sponsored by family and friends of Eric Lehman. Eric was killed in a tragic accident at Air Preheater in August of 2008.To honor his memory and his love of playing softball the Eric Lehman Memorial Tournament was created. Over the 11 years that the tournament has been held more than $25,000 has been donated to individuals or families who face challenging medical conditions. This year’s recipient is Laura Kenyon who is battling cancer. The family and friends would like to thank the Wellsville Girls’ Softball Association, the Wellsville Lions Club, Rodney Morris Construction (personal donation) and all those who donated, participated or helped make the 11th Annual Eric Lehman Memorial another huge success!
