General Information
Front Door Traffic: 430
Employment: 1 new full time and 2 new part-time jobs with 3 employers and 121 customers reported employment this year.
Unemployment: October rates: Allegany County 4.2%; NYS 3.6%; US 3.5%. Locally 19 new unemployment claims opened~ 3 fired, 16 layoffs from several employers
Veterans: 3 Veterans utilized our services for job search, training, registration and meet with the Senior Community Service Employment Program.
Business Services: 21 services provided to 15 businesses (3 new business contacts) for outreach, job listing, follow-up, job matching, referrals and youth work experience. Sent 15 business surveys and 3 were returned and were very favorable. Administered 25 TABE(Test of Adult Basic Education) tests~ 10 DSS, 13 private industry and 2 for Training
Department of Social Services Contract
470 services provided: Family Assistance 115; Safety Net Family 6; Safety Net 158 and SNAP 191
Safety Net/Family Assistance Employment Assessment Class (EAC): 15 assessed; 1 completed; 7 denied; 0 exempt; 0 re-applications
Non-Custodial Parent Program: 35 active participants; 17 employed; 1 receiving UIB.
WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) Program Year 7.1.2018-6.30.2019
Youth: 27 enrolled youth, 16 in unsubsidized employment, and 2 in Work
Experience. 7 received incentives for obtaining unsubsidized employment and 3 for job retention
Training: 3 in training for Dental Assisting and 1 Medical Billing; 3 completed Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide training and are NYS certified.
