Richburg man charged with possession of forged checks

Amity-based state police on Sunday arrested John R. Roulo, 35, of Richburg, NY for Possession of a Forged Instrument. Troopers investigated a complaint reported by a party alleging Roulo had stolen checks from him in the town of Bolivar, and then forged the same. The investigation revealed Roulo had allegedly cashed multiple forged checks in the town of Bolivar. Roulo was arrested and arraigned in Bolivar Village Court. He was remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in Bolivar Village Court in January.
