A Whitesville man is being held in the Potter County Jail without bail after he and another person allegedly committed a violent crime Thursday in Meadville, Pennsylvania. A bail hearing was held at 5:45 p.m. Saturday for Anthonie L. Sugden, age 22. Magisterial District Judge Christopher Kalacinski denied bail, noting that Sugden was a "flight risk...and...the victim may be deceased."
Sugden has been charged by Meadville city police with:

1. Attempted criminal homicide
2. Robbery-inflicting serious bodily injury
3. Conspiracy to commit robbery
4. Aggravated assault
5. Simple assault
6. Theft by unlawful taking
7. Conspiracy to commit theft
8. Receiving stolen property.

A second suspect, Michelle Elizabeth Rosario, 40, of Jamestown was also taken into custody in Chautauqua County on unspecified charges related to the incident.
According to Meadville police, Sugden allegedly shot and gravely wounded William Bascom III at his Lincoln Avenue home early Thursday.  
Sugden was taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police in Potter County. Further court action is pending.
Meadville police originally filed the criminal complaint against Sugden with Magisterial District  Judge Samuel V. Pendolino of Crawford County, PA.
