On Monday Amity-based state police arrested Ashley L. Coleman-Greiss, 34, of Canisteo for Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st, and Welfare Fraud 3^rd, both felony crimes. Troopers received a complaint from Allegany County Social Services allegeding "Coleman-Greiss received approximately $3,497 in undue assistance." Coleman-Greiss was processed and arraigned in the village of Belmont. She was released on her own recognizance to appear in Belmont Village Court at a later date.
