Flames swept through a former church on Hallsport Road in Willing late Saturday afternoon. The photos posted on Facebook clearly demonstrate the level of damage. Heavy equipment was called in to bring down the scorched remains. The church building had been up for sale and was supposed to converted to housing spaces, according to neighbors.
The blaze brought in enormous response from south Allegany County along with equipment from Steuben and Potter counties. EMS rehabilitated firefighters at the scene. Investigators spent much of Saturday night probing for a cause.
Willing firefighters responded back to the scene Sunday morning when the debris reignited.
