Allegany County Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports that on March 1, 2019, with the assistance of the Cuba Police Department, Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Tiffany R. Armstrong, age 36 of Cuba, on an Allegany County Grand Jury Indictment Warrant.  Armstrong was charged with (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree and (2) counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, all felonies.The arrest stems from two separate incidents in which Armstrong sold illegal narcotics to an agent of the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit in the Town of Cuba. Armstrong was processed and transported to Allegany County Court where she was arraigned and then released to the custody of the Allegany County Probation Department.  Armstrong is to reappear in Allegany County Court on March 19, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. for additional court action.

Allegany County Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports that on February 28, 2019, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeffrey D. Buchanan, age 25 of Shinglehouse, on a Fugitive of Justice Warrant issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Buchanan, who was being released from the Allegany County Jail on unrelated charges, was processed and transported to the Town of Friendship Court where he was arraigned and remanded to the Allegany County Jail without bail to await extradition back to Pennsylvania.
