Obituary: Paul R. Allen, 68, of Ellisburg, PA

Paul R. Allen, 68, of Ellisburg, PA, died Sunday, April 7, 2019 in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh.  Born July 19, 1950, in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of Jason Randolph and Doris Isabelle Barnes Allen.  On January 2, 1979, in Jersey City, NJ, he married the former Barbara A. Nardone, who survives.  A Vietnam Veteran, he served honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967 – 1968.  He was employed by GE in Secaucus, NJ, State Line One Stop in Genesee, and retired from Morgan AM in Coudersport.  Paul was an excellent carpenter and craftsman.  Surviving besides his wife, Barbara, are:  a son, Daniel (Natasha) Allen of Coudersport;  six grandchildren, David, Sage, Seth, Abigale, Emalee, and Caleb; two sisters, Melody Allen (William) Olsen of Warwick, NY and Sondra (Jason) Shapiro of Holiday, FL;  nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Sacred Heart Church, Genesee.   The Rev. Joseph V. Dougherty will be the Celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kinney.  Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shadyside Family House, 5245 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232.  Arrangements are entrusted to Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.olneyfuneralhome.com.
