Southern Tier: PA indicted in death of NYS DOT worker on Route 17
An indictment was unsealed Monday in Tioga County court that charged a Pennsylvania man with the death of a New York State DOT worker. 37-year-old Lawrence Faucett of Ulster, PA was charged with criminally negligent homicide. He pleaded not guilty and was released pending further court action. On March 13th, Dennis “Matt” Howe was assisting with pothole repair work on Route 17, when the vehicle he was in was struck by a passing tractor driver being operated by Faucett. Howe was airlifted to a hospital where he later died.
