Houghton to Offer Certificate Programs in Conjunction with eCornell
Houghton, N.Y.—Houghton College has announced an agreement with eCornell to offer more than 60 online certificate programs to professionals and executives who want to advance in their careers. Certificate programs are available in the areas of digital marketing, design thinking, hospitality and real estate.“This partnership speaks to our commitment to offer academically challenging and highly affordable educational opportunities to diverse populations,” said Marlene Collins-Blair, Ph.D., dean of Houghton Online and professor of Spanish.
The certificate programs are personally developed by eCornell faculty with expertise in a wide range of topics. Small cohorts comprise the format, and courses are interactive, enabling participants to immediately apply what they’re learning in their organizations while earning an executive certificate.
“The certificate programs are designed for a wide cross-section of functions within many types of organizations—from executive directors to those aspiring to serve in administrative or managerial roles in hospitals, business enterprises and the real-estate and hotel industries,” said Collins-Blair. “These are learning communities in which we aspire to increase our footprint.”
