Tim Colligan addresses village board
Shane T. Colligan Memorial Park needs some help and Monday night the Village of Wellsville offered to help. The park is located at the corner of Genesee Parkway and South Main Street and is named after the son of Tim and Sue Colligan. Shane  was a Wellsville native and St. Bonaventure University journalism student who passed away in 2003.
The Park has been managed by the Colligan family with some special outside help. However, that outside help is leaving. Tim Colligan attended Monday's Village Board meeting "asking for some help." The elder Colligan noted that he would continue to mow the grass but noted that some of the work is "more than I can handle." Mayor Randy Shayler said he expected that Otis Eastern could supply some summer help. Other sources could also be made available. Shayler said "we'll make it happen."
