Amity-based troopers say they don’t a special holiday campaign to be on the lookout for impaired drivers. This morning, just before 3 a.m., they stopped a vehicle on Old County Road 26 in Belfast. Following a roadside investigation, state police arrested 48-year-old William Proctor of Belfast. He was charged with both aggravated driving while intoxicated and first-offense DWI. He was also charged with drinking booze in a vehicle on the highway. Court action is pending.
