Travel Advisory - I-86 Eastbound over Cohocton River, Avoca, Steuben County

The New York State Department of Transportation announced today that bridge joint replacement work will begin on Interstate 86 eastbound over the Cohocton River in the town of Avoca on July 9, 2019.  Work will consist of removing and replacing existing bridge joints. For the duration of this work, one lane of traffic will be maintained.  Work is anticipated to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

 

Motorists may encounter flaggers, lane closures and could experience travel delays.  It is imperative that motorists remember this season to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter.
