Binghamton: NYSEG worker dies after being trapped under work vehicle

On Wednesday at approximately 2:55 p.m., the Binghamton Police Patrol division responded to 73 Decatur Street in the City of Binghamton for a report of a female trapped under a vehicle.  When police arrived they found 51-year-old Katherina Bobier of Vestal, a NYSEG employee, trapped under her NYSEG van.  EMS responded and pronounced Bobier deceased.  The incident is noncriminal in nature and is being investigated as a work place accident. Binghamton Police were assisted in the investigation by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit.
