Georgia man convicted of rape in Allegany County
A Georgia man, first charged with first-degree felony rape has pleaded guilty to a lesser crime in Allegany County court. The crime occurred May 21, 2017 in the town of Scio. In a press release, the DA's office said 43-year-old Jonathan Johnson of Acworth pleaded guilty in court to third-degree rape. He was sentenced to Judge Thomas Brown to six months in jail, ten years of the sex offender spotlight page and a ten year order of protection. He was also fined $1,000 and tagged with a $325 surcharge and a $50 DNS fee. A press release said he engaged in sexual intercourse with another person who was incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless. J.
