Allegany teenager double murder suspect appears in court for a hearing
The teenage boy accused of killing his parents at their Clarksville home made his first appearance this morning in an Allegany County Courtroom. 17-year-old William Larson Jr. is charged by state police with two counts of murder and manslaughter. The teen, who had fled the scene was later taken into custody after a 16 hour manhunt. Buffalo TV stations WIVB and WGRZ were allowed in the courtroom, but their cameras were not. The bodies of 67-year-old William Larson Sr. and 50-year-old Lisa Larson were discovered last Thursday when Clarksville firefighters responded to a reported fire at the home. Prosecutors referenced an autopsy report that showed the victims were shot and stabbed. State police videotaped their interview with Larson Jr. and a portion of that session was played in court. Channel 2 journalist Dave McKinley reported that during the interview, the teenager claimed his father killed his mother and then threw a knife at him. The teen claimed his father sometimes used meth. Larson continued to say during the interview that he shot his father while he was standing in the driveway. During the hearing, a judge ruled the case should move to a grand jury, noting sufficient evidence exists.from Wellsville Regional News (dot) com https://ift.tt/35A4fIJ
