Wellsville: Emerald Hook & Ladder remember their own at Christmas
On Sunday, the Emerald Hook & Ladder Company in Wellsville was one of several agencies that responded to a fully involved house fire in Genesee, PA. However, the day before, several of its members took time out to remember many of their own family.
At 2 p.m. Saturday, some of the Emeralds gathered together and delivered fruit baskets to the widows of past members. Members delivered 12 baskets to, either widowed wives of passed members, sick current members and one to sister Alice Roach from ICS and one to the Catholic Church priest. It's called...community!
