Wellsville: Santa comes to the village

Santa brought Mrs. Claus to Wellsville Saturday to kick off It's  Wonderful Life in Wellsville's holiday season. Events sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, library and Creative Arts Center came to life and will continue throughout the holiday season.

Joining the Clauses in the annual Christmas parade were several organizations including the Wellsville Fire department, Ambulance and rescue squads the Allegany County Sheriff and the Wellsville Village Police who led off the marchers. Also on hand for the event were Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, the Arc, local dance troupes, SPCA and the Knights of Columbus, to name a few.

Holiday events continue throughout the season with story telling, a snowball fight, cookie contest, ceramic sales, ICS Living nativity and the annual Laurie Mickle Fireworks display on Dec. 21st at 7 p.m.
