Obituary: Melinda M. Lovel, 47, of Westfield, PA
Melinda M. Lovel, 47, of Westfield, PA, died Saturday, January 25, 2020 in her home. Born April 18, 1972, in Wellsboro, she was the daughter of John E. and Nancy L. Kemp Lovel. A 1990 graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School, she earned an associate’s degree in accounting from the north campus of Williamsport Area Community College. Melinda was employed Widmann’s, Larry’s Sports Center, Big M, Tops, and Dollar General. She was a member of the Potter Brook Happy Hour Club. Surviving are: her mother, Nancy Lovel of Westfield; a brother, Glenn (Jodie) Lovel of Westfield; her fiancée, Joseph Hanes of Westfield; an aunt, Maureen (Leonard) Snyder of Chambersburg; a great-aunt, Fay Graham of Ellisburg; a great-uncle, Henry (Anita) Graham of Tioga; and cousins. She was predeceased by her father. Friends may call at the People’s Church of Potter Brook, 62 Rte. 49, Westfield, PA on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., with Funeral Services following at 4:00 p.m. The Rev. Gene Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Lovel Cemetery, Clymer Township. Memorials may be made to People’s Church of Potter Brook, 62 Rte. 49, Westfield, PA 16950. Arrangements are under the direction of Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. Online condolences may be expressed at www.olneyfuneralhome.com.
