Allegany County Deputy Sheriffs Association - Barkley Showcase

The Officers of the Allegany County Deputy's Association recently made donations to two organizations with proceeds from the recently held Dan Barkley Showcase.  They are:

 

A $500 donation to the NYS Police Benevolent Association’s “Signal 30 Fund” for 1 scholarship to be awarded to a Steuben Co. senior this spring.  The ACDSA annually awards 7 other scholarships to Allegany Co. seniors with proceeds from this event.  Seniors in Allegany County should visit the Allegany County Area Foundations web site for their scholarship opportunities and the Steuben seniors visit the NYS Police Benevolent Associations web page. 

 

A $210 donation was made to  Catholic Charities of Wellsville’s Food Bank with proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle at the Dan Barkley Showcase.  This annual event  is regionally known for its 7 High School Basketball games with teams from Allegany vs. Steuben taking on each other for bragging rights.  This years 50/50 winner was Lori Ballangee from Wellsville.  Next years 50/50 donation will be made to the Hornell Catholic Charities Food Bank.
