Fire wipes out Belmont home
A house trailer on Irons Road in Belmont was destroyed by fire Saturday morning. The initial dispatch from 911 indicated a disabled male was trapped inside the burning home and unable to get out. However, when the first firefighters arrived, the resident had already been rescued. No injuries were reported and the cause is currently under investigation. The Red Cross was contacted to assist the resident who was displaced by the blaze. Belmont and Scio firefighters were at the scene while Friendship and Allentown crews were placed on standby. The fire origin is not considered suspicious. Most Belmont units were returning to service at 11:09 a.m.
