Coudersport: Potter County woman jailed for attempting to steal car, ambulance from hospital ER parking lot
A Potter County woman will appear in District Court Friday afternoon after Pennsylvania Troopers said she attempted to steal both a car and an ambulance from the ER parking lot at UPMC Cole in Coudersport. 34-year-old Veronica Owens of Austin was found in the hospital lobby and taken into custody. She was charged with a top count of felony attempted criminal theft and several lesser summary offenses. Arraigned in court, she was remanded to Potter County Jail…bail set at $20,000. She was then also arrested for seven separate crimes, with the top counts of felony theft by unlawful taking and felony receiving stolen property. Those crimes happened in Portage Township.
