Allegany County Continues State of Emergency

Allegany County, through the combined actions of Chairman Curtis W. Crandall and County Administrator Carissa M. Knapp, has declared a State of Emergency as a continuation of our March 14, 2020, declaration due to the ongoing public health impacts of the COVID-19 virus. This State of Emergency will remain in effect for thirty days or until rescinded or renewed by a subsequent order.

In the United States, there are currently 588,300 COVID-19 cases, and there have been 24,480 deaths. In New York State, there have been 196,140 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 10,834 deaths statewide with 778 deaths in the last 24 hours. As of 2:30 p.m. on April 14, 2020, Allegany County’s COVID-19 statistics are as follows:

Confirmed Cases: 28

Recovered Cases: 22

COVID-19 Related Deaths: 1

Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date: 342

Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 281

Currently Quarantined/Isolated: 61
