Obituary: Mary Ellen Sheridan, 80, Friendship
FRIENDSHIP - Mary Ellen Sheridan passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the Absolut of Houghton. She was born on March 11, 1940 in Scio, NY and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Aletha “Lucille” Wing. On June 2, 1962 she married Daniel Sheridan, who predeceased her on November 27, 2017.
Mary worked as a Home Health Aid for a number of years before deciding to stay home. Mary was an avid crafter, attending many shows with her daughters and husband. She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. Surviving are two daughters Kimberly (Lawrence) Usick of Tonawanda, NY and Judy (David) Taylor of Friendship, NY; a son Michael Sheridan of Scio; 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Mary was predeceased, in addition to her parents and husband, a son Brian Sheridan; two brothers, John (June) Wing of Hume, NY and Charles (Judy) Wing of Scio, NY. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Mary at the American Legion, 23 Jefferson St. in Wellsville on September 5, 2020 from 1-4 p.m. Masks are required. Arrangements were handled by Treusell Funeral Home.
