On August 31, 2020, SP Amity Troopers arrested John H. Finch Jr., 29, of Wellsville, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Petit Larceny, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree.

Troopers investigating a shoplifting complaint at Crosby’s in the town of Amity allege Finch had stolen merchandise valued at $17.28. During the course of their investigation, they discovered Finch to be in possession of Clonazepam pills for which he did not have a valid prescription. Finch was arrested and released with appearance tickets for Amity Town Court, where he is due to appear later this month.
