 State Police report the arrest of Robert J. Giomundo, 26, of Belfast. He was charged with felony first-degree rape involving a victim under the age of 13, felony first-degree criminal sex act and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. Troopers said the charges stem from an incident reported October 6th in the Town of belfast. He was initially detained, however, the Allegany County jail confirmed this morning that Giomendo was not being detained there.
