Charges filed in vehicle-pedestrian accident in Andover

On December 1, 2020 at 7:48 a.m. the Andover Police Department responded to a report of a pick-up truck hitting a pedestrian on State Route 21 at the intersection with East Center Street in the Village.  The truck was attempting a to make a left turn onto State Route 21 from East Center Street when the operator failed to observe a female pedestrian crossing in a marked crosswalk.  The operator of the truck was Zackery Sisson, 30, of Andover. The pedestrian was transported by Andover Ambulance to Jones Memorial Hospital. The Andover Fire Department provided traffic control on scene.  Sisson was issued traffic tickets for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and having an expired inspection.  Both tickets are returnable to Andover Village Court on December 14, 2020.
